The Maryland Zoo

ZOOmobile is a traveling educational program featuring encounters with live animals and hands-on activities. Trained instructors travel throughout the state bringing this experience to schools. senior centers, day cares, libraries and other groups. The Zoo recognized that some schools would not be able to afford the costs involved in bringing this interactive experience to its children, so it sought funding to take this experience to Title 1 elementary schools.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”1048″ img_size=”full” qode_css_animation=””][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]ZOOmobile is the Maryland Zoo’s educational outreach program. The target group is second graders because the ZOOmobile program aligns well with the curriculum for this grade level. It will provide one of 2 50-minute interactive experiences with various types of live animals, allowing students to understand the differences in nature classifications and to bring their classroom curriculum to life.
