Grants

The Foundation seeks requests for funding from not-for profit organizations providing educational, cultural, community based or community enhancing, legal or youth oriented programs.

The Monumental City Bar Foundation (MCBF) is seeking applications form not-for-profit organizations providing programs and events that are educational, cultural, community-based or community enhancing, legal or youth-oriented.  Major grants ranging in the amount of $500 - $1,500 will be funded for a one-year period beginning October 1st.  Small and emergency grants ranging up to $500 will be available on a case-by-case basis throughout the year.

Applications for Major grants are due by August 15th. Small grant applications, except in the case of requests for emergency funds, are due thirty days prior to the award of funds.  Applications for emergency funds must be made at least 72 hours prior to the award of funds.

Requirements

Only nonprofit organizations as defined in Section 501(c)(3) and Section 509(a) of the Internal Revenue Code will be funded.
